This is an excellent deal and the blade is lasting quite a while. I've been going through a bunch of different blades on concrete as I build a new workshop and this is a great value. I got this so that I could make some deeper cuts than I was able to get out of a 7" blade. I might try to get a segmented blade next time from the same company to hopefully make thinner cuts. This continuous type of blade is designed to take more material out as you cut so that isn't a knock of the product. This might actually be a good thing as it seems like the blade has a bit more substance to it. I like that the arbor is sized for common grinders, but of course you need a big one to slap this large of a blade on it! This is VERY dangerous so don't try a blade this big on a grinder unless you are confident in your skills and you have the right equipment and safety gear. I'm running this on a 9" grinder which means I had to take off the safety guard.... not for the faint of heart! It is important to go easy when grinding with this type of setup and let the blade do the work. If you get the blade in deep and your cut isn't going terribly straight then it can tweak the blade and cause it to kick. You can also get into a situation see some waves in the blade rotation if you are off a bit until the centrifugal force works it out. This is probably true for any blade though. I try not to let it happen and keep myself braced for anything while going at it. I would NOT recommend that you use a blade this large in any application when a smaller blade would suffice. Save this one for when you really need a deep cut or if you have equipment that can handle this large of a blade more safely than my setup.
