My 4 mo old golden pup chews the leash, even a chain. The red/wht rope with the red rubber chew piece is great to distract him while walking. It got him to finally move along, so I'm biased toward good comments on this piece at the the moment.That said, the rope is a softer, more easily torn and worn out material than most Kong ropes I've gotten in the past. Perhaps this is better for my puppies teething. Not complaining. Just telling you what I experienced. I'm happy with the product and the result on my awesome, adorable puppy who finally lied down today, but still needs little improvement in the potty department. Puppies rule, and this toy is an excellent training and play addition.
