I've heard good things about oil-pulling and this is my first try with it. I know some people use straight up coconut (or other) oil, but the idea of waiting for a glob of that to melt in my mouth was off-putting, along with the coconut taste which I can only handle so much of.This oil is quite liquidy and very minty. It did burn a little the first couple of minutes (as something like mint toothpaste does), but I got used to it and even though I had set a timer for the minimum 2 minutes they recommend, I kept clicking away the timer and kept going for several more. While I'm not sure it did much of anything, or will have much of an effect, the fact I get a deep-refresh in my mouth is quite appealing actually. It's more fun to swish this around than mouthwash, that's for sure. I don't sit there trying to get that between my teeth.I wasn't a big fan of the tongue scraper though, both sides had edges that were just a little too rough for my liking. I have one of those large u-shaped tongue scrapers with rubber handles that I prefer over this, but it's a neat idea to add it honestly. It did get a lot of gunk from my tongue, it just didn't feel quite right. So I could do without it.But the star is the pulling oil, and it's been quite interesting. I'll keep going and might come back for more! I'd say it's definitely worth a try if you're new to it. I've been enjoying it a lot more than I originally anticipated!
