YKK is well respected, and this zipper is typical of what has allowed them to earn their reputation for quality. I couldn't find the length, color and type of zipper I needed locally (and most of what was in stock was lightweight stuff suitable for blouses or other low-stress uses), but I was able to get this one quickly without having to worry about whether it would be good enough.Looks nice & seems to be good quality but can’t be zipped without an epic struggle. Perhaps the one I have is defective, but if the sides are not perfectly aligned, which in this case is not easy, it will not zip. I hand sewed this onto a sweater for my grandson & will now have to remove it and find something else since it is too difficult for a little kid. If you are putting it on something sturdier than knit it might work. For my purposes it was a bust.I was able to get the exact length and color for a sweater for my granddaughters sweater. 19 inch, separating zippers in a specific shade of red are impossible to find anywhere else. This is my third purchase for unusual zipper requirements from Zipperstops. I will definitely use this company again.I like the zipper. Strong and what I wanted.
