Wish I could give this clip more than 5 stars. At last I have found the perfect hair clip for pulling my thick hair up on the back of my head and containing it comfortably. Other clips were big enough, but they simply did not open wide enough to slip over my hair while I was still holding on to it and keeping it all neatly twisted and bunched up. Then there was the monstrous Caraavan Triple Xxx clip that opened wide enough but would have posed a danger to anyone standing too close behind me. This lovely Caravan Hump Hair Claw sticks out only a modest amount and it opens super wide to make it easy even for someone fairly klutzy to apply successfully. I had promised myself I was going to stop buying hair clip after hair clip, but now that I have found the perfect clip, how can I be content with just one? Oh, and by the way, despite the description saying it is black, it is actually tortoise. Looks great in my auburn hair. I have read the other reviews about the spring not holding up. I just got mine tonight so I can't comment on its longevity quite yet.
