This is a second review. The scissors cut fine wire well and soft copper wires. The slots for my big fingers will require some practice, but it is manageable.Way better than the klienGreat item fast shipping will purchase from seller again ?Strong 403 stainless steel scissors for cutting wire and other materials. The handle has a regular grip and a large grip that helps put more force into cutting thicker wire. Two terminal crimpers are built in and work ok. There is also a 3 level wire stripper gauged for metric sized wire but it works fine for AWG wire as well. The green plastic part is very high quality and durable.A plastic sheath is included that has a belt clip built in. It locks on and makes it easier to throw in your tool bag without worrying about reaching in and having it cut you as you grab for it or some other tool. The rubberized coating provides good grip with or without gloves and I'm happy with the overall performance of these scissors. I am not a professional electrician by trade but I do a decent amount of high and low voltage electrical work at home for various projects I am working on. I have a few other LAOA tools and they've all been good quality and seem to be geared towards professionals.I tested these cutters on some 14/4 stranded copper cable and it did a fantastic job of making a nice clean cut with little effort. As for the stripper function, it's a bit awkward to use. It does the job and I may use that feature in a pinch but will mostly be using these to cut the cable and a separate tool for stripping the insulation off the wire.It took a while for me to find a good thumb placement for using these cutters. I have medium-large hands and the thumb opening requires a bit of choice on how this implement is held. I ultimately found a comfortable way to hold the cutters that gave me excellent control over the open and close action. I used the serrated edge cutters to snip through sheet metal in small intricate curves and found they worked well for cutting. I also use these for cutting large copper wires, #2 being the largest. While there's likely some reason not to do this, I spin the cutter curve lightly around the ends of the #2 and then pull to strip.Crimping is not the strong suit here with a minimal amount of leverage from the grips. I hold the cutters upside down and put the outside of the open handle in my palm and pull the closed loop handle tight for crimping. It's a bit like a hand grip exercise motion. I've had no issues with the crimps I've made but there's a decent amount of force required. Were I to do a lot of crimps I'd get my crimping tool.Great electrician snips. They are well made. Very sharp. Easy to cut all types of wires. I was able to cut 4 gauge easily. The grips are not the most comfortable since they are oddly shaped but they are big and makes it easier to cut. I like that it’s multi use. You can cut strip the wire and crimp it. The crimping part is not the best but it works. I was able to crimp some wires and the connections held just fine. I would recommend for just how sharp it is. The fact that it’s plastic protects you from unnecessary shocks. The plastic protector keeps the point protected and from poking you when not in use. This is my new everyday carry. Very practical and useful with all the features it has. Great find. These are some heavy duty electrician scissors! They cut wire and cable easily and comfortably and the blade is still sharp. The plastic sheath fits on a tool belt and holds the scissors tightly. The scissors are comfotable and the grip design allows you to use force when cutting wire without hurting your hands. These seem really well built and look like they would stand up to pro use.Five stars.
